Isn’t this a cool purse tin? This was one of our make & takes at Convention 2007, wonder what we’ll do this year? We used the crop-a-dile to punch holes so we could attach the ribbon. If you don’t have a crop-a-dile, make sure you get one. It is the best tool for punching through most anything. It can be a little intimidating at first, but you’ll get the hang of it. There are lots of videos explaining the “how to”. Click here to watch one of them.

One of my customers and great friend asked me to design a thank you card using the Thanks Tons hostess set. This is what I came up with. I actually have two designs. One uses the trio flower punch with white grosgrain ribbon and the other uses the ½” circle punch with white taffeta ribbon. We ended up going with the safety pin card! I plan on changing the saying on the flower card and using it for a thank you card too. The flowers were punched through the front of the card. When you open the card, you see the flowers on the inside of the card, the same for the safety pins. Thanks for stopping by, come back soon!

This is an engagement card I made for a friend. I saw a similar design at last year’s convention. I created this card from an idea I saw somewhere. Sorry I don’t remember who or where, but thank you for the inspiration. Sorry, it is such a bad picture. The cake is stamped in Soft Sky with Boho Backgrounds flower stamp. It is much prettier than it shows here.

Not only can you make cards from Stampin’ Up! Products, but you can scrapbook too. Take a look at my 6 x 6 scrapbook page. This is the second 6 x 6 page I made for the demonstrator calendar swap. My months were September and November. SU has a 6 x 6 desk calendar that you can scrapbook. The pages are perforated and can be removed from the calendar and added to your own album. This makes a really special gift for Christmas! Take photos during the year and then place onto the desk calendar. By the end of the year, you’ll have a personalized gift for that special someone. Truly, a memorable gift!
I found this in my stash of cards and thought I would share. I made these cards as a challenge from my upline sometime last year. She challenged us to make a card exactly as pictured from the SU catalog and then case that same card by changing colors, paper and stamp set. I’ve always heard the catalog is not just for products, it is an idea book as well. It always went through one ear and out the other. It wasn’t until I was challenged that the light bulb came on….. our catalog is a GREAT IDEA BOOK. Now guess who tells their customers the same thing at workshops!
My first Spinner Card using the Baby Wipe Technique
Wow, I just finished my first spinner card. It was a little tougher than I thought, but I was kind of winging it. I really enjoyed the Baby Wipe Technique. Hope you like my creation! The card looks alot better than this scan. There is glitter on the butterflies too.
Baby Wipe Technique:
Fold a baby wipe a couple of times in the shape of a rectangle. Get several colors of re-inkers and place a couple of drops of each re-inker on the baby wipe, side by side in a row, until you have inked the entire fold. These colors will be your stripes, so drop ink in the color combo of your choice. Take your baby wipe and swipe over glossy cardstock in a straight line. Just like magic, you now have a striped background.

This is the other 6×6 two-page layout I created for a 12-month scrapbook album swap. We could do 1 two-page layout or 2 two-page layouts. I decided to do 2 so I would have the whole year completed for a scrapbook of all 12 months. I picked June and September. This is my September page. Hope you like it!

School Days
I had so much fun making this 6×6 scrapbook page for a demonstrator swap. Each demonstrator created 2 pages for the Days-To-Remember (6×6 Desk) Calendar by Stampin’ Up! My months were September and November. Put photos on your 6×6 page and adhere them to the the appropriate calendar page. The pages are perforated and can be removed from the calendar to make your own scrapbook. What a great idea for a personalized gift someone would enjoy all year long! When you are finished with the calendar, remove these pages and place in a 6×6 album to enjoy forever. Great gift idea for anyone!
