Mother’s Day

Sorry, it has been too long since I have posted, I will try to do better. I noticed WordPress was upgraded. Just when I thought I was going to make it in this blogging world they change the look and feel! That always seems to be the case with any software program. Just as soon as you know it (or think you do) here comes an upgrade and you have to start all over again. Technology!

Mother’s Day will be here before you know it. Today’s card is dedicated to all Mother’s. This is the card I created for our April swap with other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. Hope you like it. The technique I used was crayon resist.

How to: Stamp flower image in black stazon on glossy cardstock. Using a white crayon, color section(s) of your image you want to be white. Using a sponge, rub sponge over your stamp pad to pick up ink. Dab sponge on your stamped image. Ink will not stick where you marked with the white crayon. After you have sponged image to your desired color, rub image with a tissue. Cut out flower and adhere to card.

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Afternoon Tea DSP

Ink: Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, Basic Black

Accessories: Pearls from the “Pretties Kit,” sponge, white crayon, Groovy Guava double-stitched ribbon.
