Everyone has heard of doing the two-step, but have you ever heard of two-step stamping? It is when you have two stamps designed to go together and you can use them together or separately to make a variety of looks. You have a background stamp and a detailed stamp that work together. If you notice the leaves on this card, some parts are lighter than the other. To get the soft shaded effect on part of my leaves, I inked my stamp (using same color as the stem) stamped on a scratch piece of paper, then stamped on my card. This gives your leaf a lighter shade of the same color of ink! You should use a light ink color for the bold images and a dark ink for the outline or detailed image.
