Shaving Cream Technique and Wild Rose

Do you have your sunglasses on today? How do you like this bright and cheery card? I designed this card for my club class using the Wild Rose stamp set that is retiring August 10th. I try to do at least one technique for club nights. This is called the shaving cream technique. My ladies absolutely loved getting their fingers messy!

How to: Get a paper plate and squirt a 1” layer of cheap shaving cream on the plate. Take a couple of reinkers (at least 2 colors) and drop about 2 or 3 drops of each color in the shaving cream. Take something about the size of a marker and swirl  the color around in the shaving cream. Press  the front of the cardstock into the shaving cream from the center out. Remove cardstock and scrape off the shaving cream with a spatula. Wipe off any excess shaving cream with a paper towel. Look at the new background you just created! Marvelous……

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Wild Rose

Cardstock: Gable Green, Pink Passion, Whisper White

Inks: Gable Green, Pink Passion

Accessories: White Taffeta ribbon, retired brads (just had to use them – thought it went perfect on the card.)
