Bloomin’ Beautiful

Hope everyone had a boomin’ 4th of July. Now how about bloomin’?

I really like how this card pops, I do believe it is my favorite stamp set. This set was in the Occasions Mini Catalog. This is such a simple card to make, good for workshops! It also showcases a technique called “paper tearing.” I usually place my paper down on the table and use one hand to hold the largest part of the paper flat. With my other hand, I tear a strip – pulling the strip toward me. Size of strip depends on project you are working on. Tearing seems to add texture to your projects. Don’t try to get it perfect, it’s all about not being perfect – just tear! If you just have to be perfect, SU makes a tool called “The Tearing Edge.” It will give you natural-looking torn edges with precision. I hate to omit it, but I had to have that tool when I first started stamping, because I could never tear the way I wanted. I’ve gotten over it now – I just tear! Hope you drop in to visit again!
