Tic Tac Toe To Go Tote and Gameboard

Tic Tac Toe Tote

Wanna play tic tac toe on the go? This tote and game is great for children to play, especially when traveling. It’s very easy to make. You use a 6×6 page protector and add cardstock to make the back and the flap of the tote. You use square and circle punches for the game board. How totally awesome is that? See below for the “how to.” Any questions, just email me. It is even so cute my girlfriend and I have sat down and played. I won’t mention who won!

How To Make the Board:

You will need to cut a 4 ¾ square from any cardstock. I used Real Red.

Then cut a 4 ½” square from a different color of cardstock. I used Bashful Blue. Adhere the 4 ½” square to your 4 ¾” square with your Snail Adhesive.

With your 1 3/8” Square Punch – punch out 9 squares of cardstock. I used Old Olive. These will be the actual squares on the board. You will then need Designer Series Paper (DSP) to match the cardstock you are using.

With your 1 ¼” square punch – punch 9 DSP squares of cardstock. These will be adhered to the top of your 1 3/8” squares you just punched. Now attach these nine squares to your 4 ½” square of cardstock. I used Summer Picnic because I just love this paper and I have tons of it. Too bad it will be retiring soon.

Now to make your game pieces:

Using your 1 3/8” circle punch, punch out 5 circles for the base of your game piece using two different colors of cardstock. You will need 5 circles of each color for a total of 10 circles.

Stamp two different images 5 times each for your game pieces. Using the 1 ¼” circle punch, punch these images out and attach to the 1 3/8” cardstock circles. You should have 10 images, 5 each of the two designs.

How To Make the Pouch:

Take a 6×6 page protector and trim a very tiny bit off the sides. Cut a piece of cardstock measuring 9 ¼” x 6 ½” and score at 2 ¾” (this will be your flap). I used Real Red cardstock. Using sticky strip, attach the protector to your piece of cardstock. Make sure the open part of the page protector is at the top, you would not want your pieces to fall out. I used the handheld rectangular punch to punch a hole for my ribbon. I used Real Red Striped ribbon for the handle. Decorate as you wish!

Hope you have fun creating this fun project! Thanks for dropping by, come back soon!
